Voting + First timers

First time voters and new voters make up a large and important part of the electorate. It is estimated that 5 million people are eligible to vote each year mostly due to turning 18 or due to gaining citizenship. See the tips below for ways to be prepared as a first time voter and plan your vote.

  6. Apply for an absentee ballot to vote by mail if you cannot vote in person
